AUGUSTO BOAL: The reaction is always very good because we never create violence. We want to reveal the violence that exists in society. We don’t want to duplicate it, don’t want to bring our violence, but just to show society’s violent. If there is people who is dying from hunger and food is plenty, why should they die? So we try to show the absurdity of the system in which we live, you know?

MTÜ Foorumteater pakub: rõhutute teatri infomaterjal – Rumeenia organisatsioon A.R.T. Fusion Association kogus kokku üle maailma erinevaid rõhutute teatri praktikaid.
Infomaterjalis on ka mõningaid näited Eestis toimunud projektist – integratsiooniteemaline foorumteater, foorumteatri festivalid ja rahvusvaheline koolitus Free Our Mind.

Launch of “Theatre of the Oppressed– Collection of practices from the field”
Check out the brand new material on Theatre of the Oppressed methods used in projects for young people and oppressed target groups. This material was developed as a dissemination publication within the project “Upgrade Your Social Theatre Multiplying Competencies” 4.3 Training Course financially supported by the European Commission through Youth in Action Program.
The booklet gathers different experience from countries such as: Slovenia, Italy, Estonia, Turkey, Portugal, Afghanistan, Austria, Bulgaria, Poland/ Spain and Romania.
If you are working in the community, trying to bring a change open it and see various experiences and examples of practices in terms of community mobilization, working with topics that concern 21st century socities: diseases (and their prevention), corruption, disabilities, empowerment of young people, discrimination. There are presented different approaches to community involvement, highlighting the mobilization component and the impact of the Theatre of the Oppressed.
